A place to dream

I was very hesitant to share this one. I don't know where this came from. It is so juvenile. I feel I'm a 51 year old teenager. I must be stuck in my teen years for some reason. For example, I love the twilight series, definitely for teenage girls. Who cares...I'm enjoying it. I have always thought my art was not very grown up. I'm a child at heart. I have for the most part come to embrace my look. I'm realizing it is OK. It is me. I've gone through this before when I first started painting again. We go through highs and lows, & ups and downs in our life. Right now I feel like I'm treading water. I take one step forward and 2 steps backward. I've been working on something for my shop and now I feel I will scrap it. It may not work. I want to pull my hair out. So back to the drawing board..Ha ha.

  1. Hey, no hair pulling!!! :) Now, go and look in the mirror and say to yourself "is there something wrong with feeling like a 15 year old?" and you had better answer, "no, there is not". I'm serious girlfriend...never lose that teenager inside you any more than you would want to lose the child within you. It's all "you" ... never "pigeon hole" yourself as "an age". The best thing (or one of!) someone said to me was when I first met the surgeon who did my lumpectomy and axillary dissection...he said "how young are you?" -- and I knew then I was in good hands. I also had my first lesson on the next journey of my life about "how" we look at life and how we see ourselves.

All princesses are welcome indeed...and I thank you for the invitation!! :) ♥

  3. Princesses welcome here! Love it, and she's very pretty but "real" - no plastic faced princess. I think we all feel a little teenage inside. There's no growing up all the way. Those bits are stuck inside us forever. I think you've inspired a journal page for me!! Yay! I've been stuck lately. I am sorry I don't have any more of the valentine packets. The ones I am giving away are library book cards. If you haven't already done so, and would like to do it (altho it involves some work on your part) read up on the blog and e-mail me at femminismo@gmail.com. Cheers and love - Jeanne in Oregon

  5. I love the twilight series too...and I am no way at teenager by looks but by heart. I don't think we really ever grow up if we don't want to. Rock on!....:)

  6. Charlie...I refuse to grow up and that is what makes me a silly heart and a dreamer and that makes my life complete so you have MY permission to be a 51 year old teenager whenever you want to :)

Live life and enjoy sweet friend!

  7. You just be yourself. Love what you love and be who and what you are no matter the numbers game... your art is unique and specific to you and am I ever glad of it. I no longer look at things, myself, life... Instead I try to SEE things, myself, life, etc etc.

Love that lovely girl you have here. And I love how this blog makes me feel. You go!
    Take care.
