Mexican Petunia

Here is a shot of a pink Mexican petunia from my back yard. I'm still not great at using the macro. I should pull out the tripod, but can't get the hang of using it. This picture is suitable at this level, but if I try to move in closer I need the tripod.

It's Monday and time for the next face painting lesson from Paulette. I think we will be using the painting crayons. This will be interesting since I have never used them before.
I have not posted much art lately because nothing is finished. I have a lot of works in progress right now. I am working on my faces, the next letter"E" for the art journal, my jewelry and I need to finish a mosaic pot. It seems I'm working a little slow, must be the summer doldrums. I feel I need to shake things up a bit, maybe have a backwards day.

  2. I've never seen a Mexican petunia before -- this is so beautiful.

I know what you mean about WIP -- I have so many things on the go right now and I want to get back to my faces painting but I also don't want to be "in a rush" when I do. I can't wait to try the crayons!

  3. Lovely Petunia, Charlie! I have the same problem lugging out the tripod for the macro. I'm going to do it though and soon.
