Follow Your Heart

I did this one on Friday. It was a play day for me. This is a reoccurring theme with me. I have been wanting to do another collage piece for a while and this is where my heart has led me. Those are old buttons stitched on with red embroidery floss. The red x's are red embroidery floss also. I used a red gel pen to color in her hat , heart and collar. I had to take a photo instead of scan because of the button. I really need a lot of practice with my macro lens. I also need help in photoshop. I bought photoshop elements a few days ago and not sure if I like it or not.

    Hello again fellow SA artist. Since you mention needing help with Photoshop Elements... Not to long ago I took a Community Education glass taught by Lyn Belisle. She taught using Photoshop Elements. The class was just a couple of hours once a week of a few of weeks, nothing too serious. You can see her notes online. It might help...

    I am always in favour of "play day" -- I just did that this afternoon and created a quick collage..I just let my fingers go where they wanted to -- loved it and this one of yours is great - I love the colours and patterns.

    I am just now getting into this art, and I also recently discovered soldered jewelry and bought all of the supplies I needed. (I see you sell that on etsy.) Cool stuff! Photoshop is an amazing program. I think it's so beneficial for all artists to know. Visual quickstart books always get me going. Good luck!
