Sassy Girl

Sassy Girl

Here is my latest painting. She is sassy and confident. She is all about being herself.
Live, love, be you is her message.

I don't know what I would do without my art at this time. I'm so glad I'm still able to create. I know if it were not for my art I would be lost. A friend of mine told me when her mom passed she felt like an orphan. At first I did not understand, but I realize what she means now. For me, I felt lost, so I guess feeling lost and feeling like an orphan is the same. My question is what do I do now? I'm rethinking my purpose in life and taking stock of my life. Being creative and making art is so comforting. It grounds me and makes me focus. It's reminds me of who I am and makes me happy that I have this gift to share.

Enjoy!

The challenge this week at Inspiration Avenue is Pink so I'm entering this painting for the challenge.

  1. Sweetie, you keep on doing what brings you joy. Creating is in your blood and it comes out in your art. Your art is whimsical and fun, just like you.
Your mother is looking down on you with great pride. She wants you to be happy and feel loved. She is only a thought away from you. As a parent what we want most for our children is for them to be happy and healthy and to have enough.
I am here for you. Your latest art piece has words well spoken. I think your mom may have brought those to you.
    Big {{hugs}} for you!

  3. Oh Charlie...you live. You just carry on, with an angel who loves you very much, holding you up. And pushing you to be happy...to be your bestest self.
That is a Bee-U-T-Full work of art!

I love you and know you will get thru this...we all do...in time.
The best thing is...you loved each other! And knew it!

  4. She is so cute. Just lover her eyes.

My heart goes out to you in your struggle. I still have my mom but from time to time I think about how it will be not to have her around and I will handle it. Leaving it for another day.

    Hugs

  6. So sorry for your loss. People say art heals, and it helps, that's for sure. And look at this beauty. She really IS perfect for the IA challenge. I see it as a tribute to everything your mother would want for you today.
