Sassy Girl

Sassy Girl

Here is my latest painting. She is sassy and confident. She is all about being herself.
Live, love, be you is her message.

I don't know what I would do without my art at this time. I'm so glad I'm still able to create. I know if it were not for my art I would be lost. A friend of mine told me when her mom passed she felt like an orphan. At first I did not understand, but I realize what she means now. For me, I felt lost, so I guess feeling lost and feeling like an orphan is the same. My question is what do I do now? I'm rethinking my purpose in life and taking stock of my life. Being creative and making art is so comforting. It grounds me and makes me focus. It's reminds me of who I am and makes me happy that I have this gift to share.

The challenge this week at Inspiration Avenue is Pink so I'm entering this painting for the challenge.

  1. Sweetie, you keep on doing what brings you joy. Creating is in your blood and it comes out in your art. Your art is whimsical and fun, just like you.
Your mother is looking down on you with great pride. She wants you to be happy and feel loved. She is only a thought away from you. As a parent what we want most for our children is for them to be happy and healthy and to have enough.
I am here for you. Your latest art piece has words well spoken. I think your mom may have brought those to you.
    Big {{hugs}} for you!

  2. She's beautiful! Sorry for your loss, my mother also watches me paint from above and I'm sure they're both smiling and are happy we have found something that brings us joy♥

  3. Oh live. You just carry on, with an angel who loves you very much, holding you up. And pushing you to be be your bestest self.
That is a Bee-U-T-Full work of art!

I love you and know you will get thru this...we all time.
The best thing loved each other! And knew it!

  4. She is so cute. Just lover her eyes.

My heart goes out to you in your struggle. I still have my mom but from time to time I think about how it will be not to have her around and I will handle it. Leaving it for another day.

  5. Warmest wishes to you Charlie. You just keep immersing yourself in creating beautiful artworks. Art heals and soothes. This is such a cute piece too with all those little touches that make you want to keep looking and looking again.
I'm sure your Mum is looking down on you and approving.

  6. So sorry for your loss. People say art heals, and it helps, that's for sure. And look at this beauty. She really IS perfect for the IA challenge. I see it as a tribute to everything your mother would want for you today.

  7. Charlie,Your painting is precious. Art does heal.
All that sadness and angst is fodder for art. So sorry about your loss.I understand your feelings...I am a middle-aged orphan myself.
    with love

  8. Dear Charlie... yes, follow your heart, listen to it and always believe that you can and that everything is possible! Trust and believe in the path through which your heart is guiding you! Nothing is ever lost... we are all connected even when our earthly senses can´t see! You are special in this world, you are a creative being and there are gifts that only you can give to the world, you are unique!
    Blessed Be,

  9. Charlie, your creations always make me smile! She's wonderful!

  10. Your art piece is very fun and beautiful. Your thoughts make it even more special. Not having much experience and being new to my creativeness, your art has inspired me. I wish you much happiness and healing. And I am glad you continued to share your art, it is lovely.
