Hi everyone I'm hosting this weeks challenge at
Inspiration Avenue. I decided on Nursery Rhymes. I have not hosted one in awhile because I could not come up with any good ideas. Not that this one is so great, it just popped into my head and so I went with it. Ideas and inspiration happen upon me this way most of the time. I do things intuitively without really understanding why I do it. For example why I pick one color over another when painting. It's like my hand just reaches for it without much thought. Most of the time when this happens it works. When I try to hard I find it does not work.
I know I'm rambling on about stuff that I'm sure most artist understand.
My entry is a portrait of Goldilocks.
Goldilocks and the three bears is one of my favorites. I have so many favorites, it was hard to choose.

"Goldilocks"
My obsession with painting the female face continues.
And my frustration with blogger continues. I have stopped blogging because I hate blogger. It just does whatever it wants.....like why has the size of my type gone so small????? and I cant copy and paste anymore.
I'm just going to ignore it and go on. I don't have time to mess with this blog!!!!!!
Hugs,
Charlie

Oh my goodness she is simply gorgeous...fantastic artwork Charlie!!!
ReplyDeleteBlogger does seem to have a mind of its own sometimes...
ReplyDeleteGoldilocks is utterly charming!
I am afraid to go to my blog today! I have been fighting just to get in. Multiple error codes, can't upload pics, posts if I do get in. I tried all last night. I build a crafty site on another platform to see if I could do it myself prior to building one for my art & portfolio. I will probably have to switch platforms. I leave messages in the help forums but never any response or help. Wish me luck today! I love your Goldilocks! Love the color combo too. I'll keep you posted if I move. If you'd like to visit my craft inspiration blog that has been under wraps for now it is dearcreatives.com let me know what you think. xo Theresa

Goldilocks is one of my favorites too. Your painting suits her well. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteShe is stunning! A beautiful piece of art work. She'd make a great illustration for Goldilocks in a Nursery rhyme treasury.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting the great challenge this week!
Kat :-)
Blogger is giving me FITS too! For th epast 2 weeks my POST button hasn't worked and I actually have to trick it into posting for me. Editing is impossible too. But, I digress... I love your Goldilocks. The expression on her face is priceless and coveys the perfect Goldilocks attitude, I think. Colors are also gorgeous. Thanks for hosting such a great challenge. Nursery rhymes and fairy tales are my favorite subject.
